My Friday at The MoMA Museum

Friday nights in New York can be fun if you start your evening in one of the most iconic museums. Yes, I am they type of person who will pick a museum instead of a club on a Friday night. Specially if it is the place where you finally have a closer look at many of the modern pieces you saw only in books at school. Artwork by Van Gogh, Picasso, Monet, Dali, Matisse, Pollock, Warhol, Kalho, Rivera, Gauguin, Wright , just to name a few.

Ok, maybe not too much fun if you try to avoid crowds. Any other day and time entrance is just $25 dollars. Fridays from 4-8 p.m. are free but people start to line up a couple of hours early so they can visit all of the six floors it has. I got there at 3 p.m. and finished in three hours. Don’t forget to rest a little before your next adventure at the sculpture garden and try not to purchase everything from the gift shop or might end up paying extra in baggage fees 🙂

Starry Night. It was just a magic moment when I was so close to it. I could not believe it. This is because this is my favorite piece of him. It is an emotional painting and I love their lines and colors. It just speaks to me. To me its about infinite faith and dreams.

Siting down for five minutes just admiring MoMA’s three panels of Water Lilies is just a tranquil location. Even when there are hundred of people around you, thinking about how long it took him to finish those paintings and his passion for water, flowers, and light makes Reflections of Clouds on the Water-Lily Pond one of the reasons why you should visit.
